UNTITLED — Project for the artistic residency of SITU FESTIVAL, organized by Blue Institute of Futures, Fondazione Oelle, Fondazione Brodbeck, and the Municipality of Ficarra. This project was carried out in collaboration with visual artist and photographer Margot Kalach, and consisted of collecting the footprints of Ficarra’s inhabitants using silver photographic paper printing techniques and analog processes. In a performative action, we gathered the prints and preserved them in olive oil jars, paying tribute to the region’s deep-rooted olive oil tradition and expressing the desire to preserve a town fighting against disappearance, like many others in Italy. This “Ficarra preserve” symbolizes collective memory and cultural resistance. The project was exhibited at the Olive Oil Museum of Ficarra.
