FORSE C’È DIO, FORSE CI SONO IO II— Project for the artistic residency of SITU FESTIVAL, organized by Blue Institute of Futures, Fondazione Oelle, Fondazione Brodbeck, and the Municipality of Ficarra. Fingers made of wax, placed on Yucca trees. A temporary, site-specific sculpture conceived as an extension of the previous project. The hollow, the hole, the void, transforms into a portal that holds the truth of the unknown: a space where we position ourselves, confront each other, and recognize ourselves. Between presence and emptiness.
In this pierced empty space, I place myself, with my truth. We inhabit an intermediate place where truth reveals itself as a construction between illusion and presence. In that sense, perhaps we need certain illusions to navigate the world because the absolute is too fragile to inhabit our reality.
